The Ganga Jamuna Trek is a moderate, community based hike leading to the Ganga Jamuna holy pilgrimage site in the Dhading district of central Nepal, close to Kathmandu valley. This relatively short, six-day trek is ideal for those who seek undisturbed culture, fewer tourists and beautiful landscapes. Ganga Jamuna is where Hindu devotees go to worship three days before the full moon day in November.

The trek begins from the district center of Dhading-Besi after a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu. We walk through mixed ethnic communities with views of green terraced fields and forests. As we walk further, passing Jyamrung Danda and Karki Gaon, we enjoy Himalayan panoramas, before reaching the holy destination of Ganga Jamuna. The site offers superb views of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, the Langtang range, and other peaks. We spend a full day after our arrival at this magical place. We return via Chhapchok to Aarughat and then drive back to Kathmandu.
